We both unfortunately had to go back to work the 22nd and 23rd and Aaron even had to work Christmas Eve. Those 2 days at school felt like such a waste of time just trying to keep the kids busy with games, Christmas videos (we watched the Polar Express), and of course gingerbread houses!

Christmas Eve afternoon we were supposed to travel to my grandma's in Lisbon, but unfortunately my mom got the flu and didn't have the energy to go (it was supposed to be her good week too before her treatment the following week). So...instead my dad whipped together a ham dinner and my sister even made my favorite cheesy potatoes so we had our own quiet Christmas with my sister, dad, and mom (when she got herself out of bed to open presents with us). Christmas day, with Aaron's enthusiasm, we got my mom to go with us to my grandma's in Moorhead to have Christmas with all of the cousins on the Kraft side of that family.

The weekend after Christmas we headed to the cities for Nick Gust's wedding (Aaron was a groomsman). The wedding reception was at the top of the IDS tower and was absolutely beautiful both in the reception rooms and looking down over the city. It was a lot of fun being with Aaron's family and friends.
